E2 Visa Rules

In Korea the E2 visa (teaching visa) rules are shrouded in mystery and constant enigmatic changes. Many of the “rules” that foreigners cite are conjecture or have never been officially nailed down as the immigration web site is next to useless and what is there is outdated. However One of the users at Dave’s Cafe recently attended a seminar for hagwon teachers and recieved a booklet with the rules clearly written in English. He scanned the book and put the images on his web site. I’ve taken the liberty of posting them here as well since he gave permission in the thread on Dave’s. if you want to visit his site go here.

I also created a PDF from the files for easy printing.

Fortunately for me, I have an F2 visa (married to Korean) and don’t have to worry about all of these rules. I’m sure that many readers will find these scans to be informative and helpful. It will also be important to remember that immigration, at least in Korea, is very fickle and I have no idea how long this infomation will be accurate.
