worth the read

Mark has written an inciteful post about Language Skills and ESL Teachers. This post is very related to one I wrote in April 2004 Language Teachers Should Learn a Language.

On another note An Australian EFL teacher in Cambodia has been sentenced to ten years for molesting his students.

Damien Walker, 26, was arrested and charged with debauchery in December after the non-governmental organisation Action Pour les Enfants (Action for Children) tipped off police that he had fondled his victims’ genitals.

At least 22 other foreigners have been jailed or deported to face trial in their home countries for child sex crimes since 2003 as Cambodia attempts to clean up its image as a haven for paedophiles.

Shocking and sad to say the least. Hat tip to AAcircle.
